About Freelance Article Writing

Should I cite a press release as source in my article?
I write an article on an independent and received a press release full of interesting quotes from someone I have not been able to interview in person. I know I can use these quotes as they are in a press release, but should I write that person said that "in a press release" or I can just tell the person who says, without further explanation? I would appreciate a professional journalist to take on this (since I am only a student and I'm still learning!), but no response help. Thank you!
I am a freelance writer. I suggest quoting the press release. In my experience, some agencies care about this and others do not. But when I write a story I am always on the wrong side of being as specific as possible when describing where I got the information. Good luck.
