How to protect your privacy?
Thousands of people use free email services and other online services even if know that companies develop marketing profiles using their information. 1) Are you willing to give up some privacy to get free products and / or receive recommendations for books, CDs, videos, news articles and / or other goods and services you may want? 2) What type of security you use to protect your privacy?
I tend not to cross question if what I'm doing may increase my productivity. I stick only with trustable large companies (such as Windows Live Hotmail service to my e-mail). After recording with what I call a great site trustable, I go to my account settings page and never give information in my profile unless its 100% necessary. As for the name, I had to use my initials. The date of birth, I believe. They do not need to know (they probably do not use any way), but why just to give an e-mail … I do not meet any of the "interest" in their registration forms. Basically, I keep a minimum, just enough to use the service. For Hotmail, I never see their ads, that is, since I use Windows Live Mail (the program) for access my mail. I avoid http://download.live.com/ also subscribe to several sites unnecessary, and uncheck all the boxes that say what do you want your information shared with marketing companies carefully selected – certainly not! At the same time, if I was too restrictive with my online activities, I would not learn where and under.
